If you have a purpose and make credit cards, that is fine.
Making one you don’t have that you will use well is not a good idea.

It is pretty easy to expand your reach, but it is a hassle to guide you through closing and eliminating them.
If you have an extra credit card, put aside other details for now and use that Card.
